Brian Eno calls Siskind's work "original" "It has to me, a seductive quality" "I want to listen to what's going to happen" November 2009
New York City summers are magical. Now it is time to get down to the cold and the more insular, productive part of the cycle. Beats and sounds are being harvested as you read this. The studio has been overhauled and updated. New work is coming. This year has been a whirlwind of music and sound. Projects have ranged from the Grammy-nominated (Bela Fleck, Casey Driessen) to the complete unknown underground. It has been a great year.
Good Rester's single "Dark" will be featured on the upcoming "Darkroom Beats" compilation from Aleph-Zero, and a full length second record is underway. In other news, BH mastered a new record from Christopher Ernst, The Alcohol Stuntband, and a few other treats. Oh, and don't forget the record for Trilon featuring Michael Shrieve, Skerik, Reggie Watts and many more is coming. It's getting there!
Happy Holidaze.

NEW FOGNODE AMBIENT RELEASE
"Fognode - Ambient Vol. 1" is a ten year ambient retrospect (1999-2009) packaged in a segued, 36 minute piece. The collection of previously released material coupled with new and unreleased pieces, highlights Siskind's prolific work in the realm of ambient music. The soundscapes are environments, bathed in pedal steel and field recordings, and is entirely engulfing, relaxing... transcendent.
Available for download now, and just pay what you can. Enjoy the space.

BAT FOR LASHES
Finished and delivered a spec remix/recontextualization of "I Saw A Light" for Bat For Lashes, the beautiful work of British singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist Natasha Khan. Steeped in deep dark dub and field recordings, it became a meditation toward the transcendent... the ecstatic. Hope she likes it.
TRILON
In other news, mixing/Remixing full length record Trilon featuring Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member and drumming legend Michael Shrieve (Santana), with Skerik (Critters Buggin), Brad Hauser (Critters Buggin, Edie Brickell & New Bohemians), James Rotondi (Air, Grassy Knoll), and Reggie Watts (Maktub). Fognode has worked with Shrieve in many capacities over the last 12 years, but this marks the first full length collaboration. More on this to come.

GOOD RESTER
